After patrolling about 2 weeks, the U.S. Navy’s Arleigh Burke class destroyer USS Ross has left Black sea on 28th December, the U.S. 6th Fleet announced via Twitter.

“USS Ross finished her routine patrol of the Black Sea in accordance with the Montreux Convention. This is the 8th time a U.S. Navy warship has been in the Black Sea in support of NATO allies and partners.” 6th Fleet tweeted.

During her patrol mission, USS Ross (DDG 71) visited Odessa of Ukraine, between 24-26th December as part of its continued Black Sea presence and support to regional partners.

The U.S. Navy routinely operates in the Black Sea consistent with international law, including the Montreux Convention.
