According to Indian press, the Indian Navy has announced an alert due to the possibilities of a Pakistan-based terror attack, in the wake of the government’s move to scrap Article 370, which grants special status to Jammu and Kashmir.

An attack from Pakistan is anticipated by military intelligence after the Indian Parliament withdrew special status on 5th August through a Presidential order by reading down Article 370. The Parliament also bifurcated the state of Jammu and Kashmir into two union territories through a legislation passed later by both houses.

India is very careful about this issue because they had very sad memories about Mumbai terrorist attack at 2008. The chain of 46 coastal radars set up after the November 2008 Mumbai terror attacks feed a constant picture to control rooms, including the Gurugram-based Information Management and Analysis Centre (IMAC).

Pakistan government had expressed strong protest against the move and expelled the Indian envoy. Pakistan also suspended trade and halted rail transport across the border after India’s decision to revoked Article 370. Pakistan has also stated that India should not blame of Pulwama type attack if happens.

This issue will be the new ring of Pakistan-India conflict chain.
